Indian Cultural Society ( ICS), based in Cambridge, UK is a vibrant
dynamic organisation which was established in 2002 to
serve the ethnic Indian community in East Anglia. The first and foremost
aim of the society is to promote the richness and diversity of Indian
art and culture among the local people in Cambridgeshire. It also aims
to foster goodwill and harmony amongst different communities through
organizing various festivals and activities.
Ethnic Indians with different cultural backgrounds form the core of
the organisation. Majority of the societies members have established
their home in East Anglia for a number of years. However we are also
well represented by students from the university and members of the
migrating Indian diaspora.
The Society is financially supported by donations from its members
and by collections made at various events, grants from the Cambridge
City Council and by several industrial sponsors.
